At zombie roofing, we build the best roofs in the industry.
We believe that roofing codes are MINIMUMS, and that we are better than that. We build roofs that will survive the apocalypse!
Colorado does not have a state-wide construction code. The building codes are left to each jurisdiction you live in-whether that's a town, a city, or an unincorporated county.
Many of the roofing codes vary regarding 1) wind speed requirements, 2) if "ice and water shield" is required, 3) fire-resistance requirements, 4) if "drip edge" is required, 5) how many layers of roofing can be installed, 6) attic ventilation amount, and on, and on. Heck, even Denver has different roofing codes depending on how far West you live within the City.
Some places don't even inspect your roof when it's complete--I'm looking at you, Weld County! Most places only do a cursory look at the visible end-product. They don't even care if everything underneath is a patchwork mess of scraps from the crew's van or not.
Meanwhile, zombie roofing is busy building roofs that have 1) a Class 'A' fire rating (the highest) 2) a 150 MPH wind rating (the highest), and 3) only 1 layer of roofing with matching underlayment. "Ice and water shield" goes on every roof. Every Roof replacement gets double flashing, plenty of ventilation, and the strongest, most durable materials available.

"I have never not found the leak."
After several years generalizing in the construction industry-ranging from ditch digging, framing, drywall, paint, and concrete work to being an inspector for pile driving and welding, I decided to settle down with roofing. This was back in 2011. I've been a licensed roofer in the Denver area since early 2017.
I have experience* with all "steep slope" roofing systems. That includes asphalt shingles, tile-both concrete and metal, wood shakes, corrugated metal panels, synthetic composite shingles, and standing seam metal panels. I have experience* with many flat roofing systems including Built-Up Roofs, TPO, EPDM (rubber), PVC, and rolled asphalt. I also have experience* with several roof coatings that can be applied to both flat roofs and sloped roofs.
*Experience means I have done repairs myself, installed myself, and supervised others.
